Personal AppearanceAll individuals who are providing a service on RMH campuses
are required to obtain and wear an RMH temporary identification badge. A badge
can be obtained from Protective Services with assistance from the department.
Please return the badge to the department before leaving when you have
completed you experience at RMH. If you are functioning as a student, please
wear your student ID provided by your institution.
All
students, volunteers, contractors, sales representatives, and associates are
required to wear appropriate attire or designated attire while carrying out
activities for RMH. Please remember, when you are in our facilities wearing an
RMH badge, you are representing RMH meaning only professional conduct and
appearance is acceptable.
Clothing
should be clean and professional looking. Some clothes are not appropriate
including tank tops, halter tops, low cut tops, tops showing off midriff,
shorts, cut offs, Capri pants, short mini skirts, bandanas, camo apparel, hats,
denim clothing, clothing with graphics related to drugs, alcohol, tobacco, etc.
If you must question whether or not a garment is appropriate, it probably is
not.
Wear
appropriate footwear if you are going to be in a clinical area and walking.
Heels, sandals and open toe shoes can be a safety hazard. Please wear closed
toe shoes.
Some
clinical area may require you to wear a lab jacket.
A
reasonable number of earrings are acceptable, but other body piercing should
not be worn. In clinical areas please do not wear rings unless it is an
engagement ring and/or wedding band. Rings can harbor bacteria. Nails should be
well manicured, and a reasonable length. If you have tattoos they should be
covered. Limit fragrances and/or perfume.
Please eat
only in designated areas.
The use of
vulgar, profane, or sexual language or gestures may constitute improper
behavior and could lead to removal from the campus or charges of sexual
harassment. This type of behavior is not
permitted while on RMH campuses or while engaged in activities as a
representative of RMH.

Resources Department.
